On Friday, July 6th 2001, Danielle was thrilled and honored to be choosen 2nd runner up in the
77th Annual Jasper County Fair 2001 Queen Pageant. She spent the entire week participating in all the fair activities as part of the Queen's Court. She felt it was a wonderful learning experience and really enjoyed meeting so many fine people from Jasper and surrounding counties. On October 14th, 2000, Danielle performed at the Praise Gathering in Indianapolis, IN. It was a great honor for Danielle to be invited by Ken Davis, a Christian Comedian & Motivational Speaker, to join him at one of the largest gospel events in the country. It was started over 20 years ago by Bill & Gloria Gaither and has grown to over 12,000 people in attendance for the three day event. This was a dream come true for Danielle. It was at this event that Danielle had the opportunity to meet and become friends with one of the hottest new groups in Gospel Music, "Salvador", (which means Savior in Spanish). On February 3rd of 2000, Danielle had the privilege of opening for Ken Davis at the 2nd Annual Jewel of the Heart Jewelry Auction for the Children's Heart Foundation. The event revolves around the idea of having fun while raising money for those in need. Danielle was thrilled to have the opportunity to participate and donate her time & talent to this worthy cause. She was also very excited and pleased to share the stage with Ken Davis, as she is one of his biggest fans. Ken is one of the country's most sought after motivational and inspirational speakers. He has a unique mixture of side-splitting humor and inspirational delights that enriches the lives of audiences of all ages. Danielle performed with 5 songs, one being "Gotta Babysit Bobby", which Ken participated as "Bobby". After Danielle's performance, Ken said that she was awesome and that she had a bright future ahead of her. He also said he would welcome the chance to work with her again. John Santner, Founder of the Children's Heart Foundation responded after the event that the evening was a huge success, with both Ken and Danielle providing great music and humor. He thanked them both for their generosity. Danielle has chosen the Children's Heart Foundation as one of her primary charities. |
